Put the safety glasses and leather gloves on to protect your face and hands during this process.

Place the wood onto the CNC machine's faceplate.

Set the design specifications you want for the carving of your wood by using your instruction manual.

Adjust the wood and cutting blade, as specified in the instruction manual, to ensure the wood is carved exactly where you want it to be. For example, if the instructions call for the wood to be moved two inches off of the machine's edge, move it two inches away from the the edge before proceeding.

Turn the machine on and let it carve the wood. Unplug the machine and remove the wood when it's finished carving your designs.
