Add-Ons cnc router

Add-Ons cnc router

Software Add-Ons
Many software add-ons exist that tie the CNC router to software that in turn ties it to something else. For instance, label printers enable you to connect your CNC router to a scheduling software suite that automatically prints a label every time a new part is manufactured. In addition, there's a particular suite known as Mach3 that allows home users to turn their PC into a full-fledged CNC controller with which they can control the spindle, generate code and import 2-D and 3-D images for the CNC router to reproduce.

Automatic Tool-Changer Add-Ons
One type of add-on category is that of the automatic tool changer. These devices can switch to different tools and functions without requiring a worker to manually perform the switch. This saves time and improves efficiency, as it means the CNC router can go from welding to cutting and carving without delay. Some automatic tool changers can also switch out bits and drills. Although operators sometimes build their own auto tool changers, many are available on the market and differ in the type of tools they support.

Add-Ons
Pressure feet apply a clamping force to cutters to help them cut through extremely thick and difficult-to-cut materials. They're especially useful for machining dense small items. Brushless motors, on the other hand, can provide your CNC router with much more juice, so that it can cut at super-high speeds up to 1500 inches per minute. They're especially useful for high-production shops that are responsible for creating tens of thousands of parts per day.

Probes and Sensors
Attachable probes can automatically measure certain information, such as service height, to ensure correct alignment and thus keep accuracy at close to 100 percent. Likewise, auto-torch height controllers keep CNC-router cutting torches parallel to the material they're cutting, which is especially useful for plasma CNC machines. Another useful add-on is a coolant dispenser, as it releases a jet of cold air at the CNC router whenever it starts to overheat from handling especially work-intensive tasks.
