How to Use a CNC Router to Make Frames

1.Draw your frames in a CAD program. Make sure to include all frames you wish to draw in a single session. Export the information as CNC coordinates, and import the coordinates into your router. This process is simplified even further if your design computer is hooked directly to the CNC interface on your router.

2
Place your wood onto the CNC router bed. Align it properly to the grid lines on the bed if provided. If not, align the router head with the area of the first cut. Turn on the vacuum to hold the wood steady on the router bed.

3
Turn on the CNC router, and signal for it to start the cuts. In many cases, this is done simply by pressing a "Start" button on the interface.

4
Step away from the router and allow it to cut the frames. Once finished, turn off the router and then the vacuum before removing the wood.
